I don’t think so. I don’t think they would try something like that. That would be genetically altering stuff. I think if you ladies would like to have a baby then only one can carry. You could always have two children. Each of you could carry a baby. After the first if you would like more children then the other carries the next child.

Presently this type of technology does not exist. I think a lot of couples would love to have it, but its not technically possible. In fact, if it were possible to unite the genetics in one egg there simply would a fusion of eggs and there would be no need for a *****. I am not entirely sure that would be a problem since there would be two sets of mitochondria and their unique DNAs in that event, but perhaps it might not be an issue since chimeras do fine. Indeed, the biggest problem with such a fusion would be the large quantity of cytoplasm and organelles which might impact the development of such an embroyo. Maybe it would better to use one ova and a polar body and not two ova…
Really, the only unique thing that a ***** delivers other then DNA is the acrosome that starts a chain reaction in the egg surface to prevent a second implantation event. This whole scenario is possible but it is highly improbable presently. There are a number of technical issues that would need to be addressed before it could be done – like success in other mammals. And in some ways since human cloning is banned it might be construed as cloning.

This is a cool idea, but not possible with todays technology. If it were me, I would choose a ***** donor with similar characteristics to the partner that was not donating (i.e. hair/eye color, height, proportion, etc.). And good luck getting answers from people who don’t want to share their homophobic viewpoints!

I don’t think it is possible to “mix” two eggs to make a baby that would have the DNA of two women, I understand the logic – but I have never heard of anything like it. Maybe one day, but it sounds unlikely. I heard of a woman who had twins which had two fathers, but they were non-identical twins and each had an egg which had been fertilized with ***** from two separate men… (this was not via IVF by the way but happened “naturally”) and they only found out after they did DNA tests on the twins…
For women, maybe it would be possible to implant two eggs, one from each woman, with ***** from the same male and so if both took hold, the twins would have the same father but two different mothers…? But that is just speculation.

I am sure with todays technology that they could fertilize the eggs, and take the DNA out of one and replace it with some from the other- genetic enginearing stuff, like how they can stop some diseases from happening and ensure you have a boy or girl or their eye color, however I am sure it is NOT perfected and that you could never afford it. Sounds like a half million dollar experiment that insurance will not cover. Why don’t you both get pregnant with the same doner and have “twins” together!!

Just because you as a woman choose to be with a man, or you as a man choose to be with a woman, that is YOUR choice. Nobody should be downing her decision on being with a woman. That is HER choice. If she is happy why not be happy FOR her? Why see her upset & depressed cause she can’t love who she WANTS to. Is it hurting you? Is it hurting your children that she is with a woman? NO. lol, it always makes me laugh when people spout on about adam and eve, i dont know much about the bible, but if adam and eve were the first people on earth…….where the heck did all the rest then appear from, mmmmm maybe a bit of ****** is involved here!!!!

OK, I’ll give you the scientific answer that you want. A human being has 46 chromosomes, 23 from mom and 23 from dad. A ***** has 23 and so does an ovum. When they fuse together, it forms a cell that has 46 chromosomes that will go on to become an embryo and eventually a new human being.
With today’s technology, you cannot take DNA from two ovum and make them into one. Neither can you fuse 2 ovum and one *****. Maybe, one day in the future such things will become possible but not right now.
